Condition: Bottle was passed to me years ago and has been in my collection in smoke free home. There is cotton in opening of bottle and there seems to be clumped pills inside. I have no way of knowing if it is the original contents or not. It feels like a hard substance but I have never pulled cotton out to investigate. Please see below for more details.

Description

Bottle measures about 3 3/4 inches. Label is nice and intact. It has some interesting ingredients for a pain reliever other than the salicylate. It contained powdered digitalis leaves, Resin guaiac, powdered Squills, powdered Cimicfugin. The bottle has a cotton ball in opening with some hard black residue. There seems to be black pills in bottle but hard to tell with brown glass and I have not pulled out cotton and attempted to investigate. It is marked 50 tablets on bottle. It is marked Loyd's 1878 and side of bottle is marked Loyd's of America Camden, N.J , Sole distributor and Made in USA. Please email any questions and thanks for looking.
