Vintage Glass Citrate Of Magnesia Embossed Bottle. ‘Pasteurized’ in script above Magnesia. Also says “The Ideal Saline Laxative” on one side and “This bottle is not returnable” near bottom. Dosage instructions for adults and children read: “Dose- Adults one half to one bottle as desired. Children in proportion to age.
Diamond and circle with I on base indicating this was made by the Owens Illinois Glass Co. The 4 to the left of the logo indicates the plant in Clarksburg, WV. The 9 to the right is the year code and according to research single digit codes would date the bottle likely to the 1930s.
Bottle has no chips or cracks. Stands a little over 7-3/4” tall. Base measures about 2-3/4”
