Sunco float-raft Model R-8550.
I have never seen another like it offered for sale and my estimate is that it dates anywhere from the early 1980s to the 1990s. It was one of the early high quality Chinese beach products imported for the ravenous appetite of the American public. I can remember renting this style raft from beach vendors for a couple of bucks in the 1970s.
It measures approx. 48” x 28” and is the old-style fabric (perhaps canvas) with a yellow heavy vinyl/rubber component.
It still has the original vintage rope threaded around the perimeter through the somewhat rusted metal eyelets.
The rope also has a little rust staining from these eyelets.  The blue fabric has a small amount of rust specks and a couple of fabric scuffs (see photo of this spot above the Eagles branding).
All these minor cosmetic artifacts are simply character/ patina earned across the decades and attests to the vintage aspect of the raft.
It will be sold for Myrtle Beach decorative purposes only and/or for the advertising/nostalgia.
Functionally, I inflated it, and while it did inflate, two of the end “tubes” that should be separated were merged as one larger one and the raft deflated after a period of time. See the first photo of it temporarily inflated. I would be delighted if it could be repaired, but in my opinion the vintage decorative aspect is this item’s strong point.
What a charming addition to hand on a beach home wall or ceiling, or even a beach theme bar/grill. Sure to stimulate many a conversation.
