    Description

One Antique Bottle - Clear Glass - Cork Top - Embossed w Kanji
Bought from a man whose mother dug or found these bottles in the 1970's while in Hawaii. I have four of these listed, my last photo on this listing shows all four.
THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE BOTTLE....
She put a little note inside, that says this is "Hitcheina - Dish Cloth Gourd (loufa) Perfume made from it's blossoms". I believe she misspelled Hechima which is the Japanese word for loofah. I can't know that she was correct about the contents. The bottle is embossed with Japanese writing on one wide side, the top characters are inside an embossed circle. Made from a two part mold with a collar, and indented sides. Pretty clean, no chips or cracks, could be cleaned much better.
Measures 4.5" tall x 1.875" wide x 1.25" thick. Holds 2 ounces, and took a cork for closure.
I have other similar bottles listed as well. I also have the hard to find 1971 book Hawaiian Bottles of Long Ago, which this lady bought when she found these.
Buyers are expected to pay for items won within three days of the end of an auction. I am always happy to combine shipping when possible.
If you have an issue with an item you receive, please contact me asap, and we will see what can be worked out.
