Vintage 1960s “American Dripless Oil”
Advertising Tin Can! Rare AGS 3.4 Oz. Handy Oiler!
Up for auction is a
Vintage “American Dripless Oil” Advertising Tin!
This is a rare 3.4 oz. metal oiler can with yellow spout and white plastic cap on top. The spout appears to be
uncut
, and the tin is still about
half full
with vintage oil inside. The tin has bright blue, white and yellow lithography advertising graphics. The tin is marked ©

, made by the
American Grease Stick Company
in Muskegon, Michigan in the
1960s!
The tin can measures about 2¾” tall x 2½” wide x 1” deep (overall 4¼” tall to top of spout). As shown in the photos, this vintage container is in very good condition for its age with nice bright colors and sharp details. It has very little surface wear, possibly including a few small marks, light scuffs or scratches, or a light dent or ding typical for a container this old. The top has some normal surface soiling, and the bottom is still very shiny with a little light oxidation. This vintage American Dripless Oil advertising tin can would make a great addition to your collection!
