ANTIQUE ESTATE FIND:
This stunning and quite rare tipping fuel can is in excellent condition. It tips smoothly and has a metal bracket that holds the can upright until the subsequent needed use. A portion of the original 1895 patent label is still nicely visible. We did not see a company or manufacturer name anywhere. The wooden frame is all original with the exception that a few boards look to have been replaced at some point in its history (not in the last few decades, and likely much further back, from the look). One top board has some disintegration, but the frame is still sturdy enough for use as is. The galvanized 5-gallon can does not have any rust or damage anywhere, though the spout support rod does have some minor surface corrosion. The frame measures 15 3/4 inches tall and about 12 inches by 14 1/2 inches across the top.
