    Description

    The Owl Drug CO.      One Wing Owl Named
    "PRETTY BOY"
    AMETHYST Glass 9 7/8" Tall
    Owl perched on a mortar and pestle which bears the letters T.O.D.CO.
    Many of these bottles can be found in various shades of the sun colored Amethyst, meaning they have been exposed to the sun and the manganese, originally placed into the glass PRIOR TO 1914 for clarity, actually colored the glass. Some collectors seek only these (SCA) colored bottles.
    As general rule, bottles before 1920 were usually tooled top and the early bottles had a one-wing bird.
    This bottle has a tooled top and a one wing bird.
    The bottle is in good condition. Has no chips or cracks.
    Could use a professional cleaning. I did not want to touch it.
