Rare-Red Label Cocaine Hydrochloride Merck Pharmacy Apothecary Medicine Bottle

Description

Bottle is in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks.  Red Bakelite Merck embossed lid.  Bottle measures approximately 2-1/2" tall x 1-3/8" base diameter.  Label legible, wear to edges of label, white lettering has browned with age.  Bottle empty.  Partial 1 Cent stamp, the US government at one time taxed each bottle of cocaine one cent.  This bottle came from the estate of a pharmacist that had opened his own pharmacy in 1936, Kansas City area.  Please see photos.
