Good-Very Good overall antique cond: Recently disc on the NH seacoast & in quite well-pres overall cond. This very scarce & hard-to-find early New England pharmaceutical & medicine advertising is in the form of an early 20th c wood box advertising crate for Schlotterbeck's Helonin Cmpd Mixture. The wood box crate once held 1 doz 16 oz bottles of the medicinal cmpd mixt, w/each brown glass bottle holding 16 oz or 1 fluid pt. The box's now without its orig wood lid, pried off & discarded after opening & retrieving the crate's contents inside. It boasts blk ink stamped front sidewall typography that's now nat red to a charcoal blk. The wood surfaces are matte & dry & there are a few minor surface scuffs & abrasions. It has finger-joined corners & a wood plank floor. The restored Schlotterbeck & Foss Co building in Portland, ME is on the Nat'l Reg of Historic Places. A wonderful, 100% untouched New England medicinal advert artifact & Maine manufacturing object. Honest. Auth. Orig. Real.
