RARE Antique c1920 Marked "20" Automobile Glass Oil Bottle, Mechanic Lubrication

Very Scarce MARKED Antique Glass Automobile Oil Bottle
DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all.....Nice, glass oil bottle, similar to a quart milk bottle. Used in early automobiles to hold and dispense oil during oil changes and addition. Has a long metal spout that screwed on the top for pouring. These containers were reusable. Typically, oil was purchased in large cans or drums, then transferred as needed to these bottles and kept ready for use in individual cars. This one is in excellent condition. Pressed glass as most were.  This would make a great gift or a nice display item for the discerning collector, and obviously a cool accessory to go with your antique car.
Glass jar with this one is plain, with nothing “cast” into it, as shown. I'm not sure if this was made this way or if they just found a jar of the same capacity and thread size as the original. In any case, it is definitely early glass, and it has the same size and functional use. It also has the same size and diameter metal spout. It is UNUSUAL AS IT IS RED PAINTED METAL RATHER THAN GALVANIZED AS USUALLY SEEN. IT ALSO HAS THE NUMBER "20" WRITTEN ON IT, BY HAND. This was obviously done intentionally, probably to indicate to the garage that the contents had 20 weight oil. This spout has no markings as some do, but likely also made by Master c.1926.
Stands 12 1/2" tall overall and is 4" diameter at the base. The glass vessel part is about 7 ½” tall. As you can imagine, breakage was significant, reducing the number of these that survive and possibly what led to this one be different than other ones.
This is an extremely difficult-to-find antique auto or service station accessory, especially with the different shape and the "20" marking, and you will not see one like it for sale. This one is in excellent condition. Something different if you are looking to add to a varied collection of oil bottles.
