    Description

Milliken opened his business in 1894.  He was attempting to compete with Lambert Pharmacal, makers of Listerine.  His product was called Pasteurine.  This product was soon found to be a flop, and it was discontinued to foster further development of other remedies.
This is an old bottle that once contained Pasteurine.  The sun reacts to the chemicals in the glass making process to gradually turn the color this beautiful amethyst purple color.
The bottle is a 16 oz. bottle and is 8" tall.  It is in very good condition, a bit cloudy, with wonderful characteristics of internal bubbles.  There are absolutely no chips or cracks.
