    DR.HAYDEN'S VIBURNUM COMPOUND. Embossed in two places. On the shoulder is DR.HAYDEN'S. Embossed on the base is VIBURNUM COMPOUND.
    What is in HAYDEN'S VIBURNUM COMPOUND YOU ASK?  History in a bottle, I quickly found out with the help of the internet! Mostly alcohol 48%, plus viburnum opulus ( a European cranberry bush) wild yam, blue skullcap & aromatics, including vanilla and cinnamon.  It was a red liquid with a nice smell & a good taste. Prescription only it was for women with ailments and did not contain narcotics! Manufactured in Bedford Springs, Bedford, Massachusetts by the New York Pharmaceutical Company. First produced in the 1860's, and they had a run into the 1950's. There are pictures of older and newer rectangular HVB bottles on the website of the Bedford Historical Society. I tried to include the website address for the Bedford historical society but ebay blocks it.
    This is an ABM example created after 1910 most likely.
    Height is 7-1/4",probably holds a pint. It is a average shade of aqua blue. 11 pictures to review. This bottle was excavated or dug, possibly by me many moons ago. It has content stain and some exterior ground wear or scratches. No cracks or chips. I will combine auctions to save you on shipping costs.
