The glass is free of chips, cracks and fleabites including the inner rim and exterior cuts. There are no notable marks or scratches from storage or use. The glass is wonderfully clear and free of cloudiness and has beautiful resonance when tinged. The cuts are hand done with minor variations as expected. It's a great pattern for use and display.
Brandy Snifters, also known as a Whiskey, Bourbon or Cognac glasses, are designed to serve aged brown liquors. The larger bottom allows the contents to evaporate quicker while the narrow top helps to contain the vapors keeping the aroma inside the glass. The shorter stem allows the hand to "cup" the glass and warm the liquid improving the aromatics. An interesting thing about Brandy Snifters is they are designed (generally) so when filled while on their side, they hold the proper amount of liquid before spilling.
