    Description

This listing is for a complete rug hooking kit designed, assembled and sold by Sharon Perry. This kit which is suitable for the beginner or seasoned rug hooker comes with the following:
100% wool fabric cut in #8 (1/4") strips
Color photo of the finished piece along with a color key
Pattern drawn on a cotton monks cloth backing, sealed at the edges to prevent fraying
Easy to follow rug hooking instructions
Cotton binding to finish it off once you have it hooked
The only other items you will need are a rug hook and a frame to put your piece in. I started off with a quilting hoop and did several rugs on that before spending more money and getting a floor frame. I think you need to determine whether you like a hobby before spending a ton of money on it.
As for the hook I have solid hardwood and steel hooks listed for .00 but you can choose the option to add one to your kit for just .50 when you make your purchase.
This kit when completed measures 11 X 16 inches and would make a great wall hanging, table centerpiece, chair pad or primitive pillow top. The wool used is mostly hand dyed or over dyed and all colors  have been washed and dried so they are ready for your project. This kit is suitable for the beginner as well as the seasoned rug hooker. The cat is hooked with soft gray and dyed charcoal and the background with my own hand dyed blue. The border is hooked with my own dyed charcoal, dyed gold and red.
