Both sides of aluminum rod have built-in spring, so your can press them to shorten the rod to fit your trunk.
Slip one side into the clip or stock mounting point in the vehicle, press to shorten the rod, then place the other side end to clip mount on the other side of vehicle. Release and the cargo cover installed.
After you stretch out the cargo cover, please place the fasteners on hooks(near the tailgate) and the shield will be in place and conceal belongs.
