    Description

    Antique Rug Shuttle.  Used for making yarn rugs.  Says "ROSE PAT DEC 27 1881" as near as can be read.  The inscription is a bit hard to read.  The tool still moves quite easily. A bit of rust on one side of the punching apparatus.  Real Americana piece.  This art is still practiced so it hasn't died out as tragically some of these skills have over the years.
