Attic Find - Hinge mold with hand tooled top and ah tooled ring right below the collar. It is heavily embossed with PAINE’S on the front panel of its tombstone shaped indent and the opposite side has CELERY COMPOUND. . There is 38 embossed in a concave area on the bottom. Bottle measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches square, has no chips, no flakes, no cracks, surface is shiny and smooth, has one or two expected small manufacturing imperfections of antique glass. There is a bit of residue of the contents mostly in the bottom. It is a root beer amber and weighs one pound three ounces. ALSO included is a newspaper ad clipped from an early newpaper for Paine's Celery Compound. See my 6th photo.
